Polyethylene Foam Rod

Archivally safe, closed cell polyethylene foam is now available as extruded rods of .75" and 1.125" diameters. This versatile material can be used to perform a variety of tasks, including the formation of "doughnut" supports for specimens, gasketing for storage cabinets and exhibit cases and padding for collection storage and/or shipment. Also makes a good plug for certain size vials. The material is easily compressible, flexible and chemically inert. Use hot glue or heat from hot air blower to form and seal this all-purpose material to a suitable shape and form. Offered in 100' lengths. Don't confuse with harmful polyurethane backer rod.
