Dartek Cast Nylon Film

Conservators will find many new uses for Dartek cast nylon film. Dartek is a soft, transparent nylon film with no plasticizers, additives or surface coatings. It is often used as a covering membrane for lining of paintings on a vacuum hot table or low pressure table becoming softer as it is heated. In addition, the film is ideal for long-term storage in a dark, climate controlled environment. Dartek performs well as a short term packing material, makes a great barrier layer for displays and creates an ideal transparent dust cover. The .00075'' (.75 mil) thick material conforms easily, is clear, does not puncture easily, and will not stick to painting surfaces. It cuts with scissors, adheres with hot melt or double sided tape, and adheres to itself or other plastics with a heated spatula or tacking iron. Ships UPS oversize. Price per roll.
