Display Accessories

Glass vase and small clay artifact on clear and black basesMeeting exhibition guidelines of valuable museum artifacts involve more that simply arranging objects in a display case.

Acrylic risers and bases of different sizes and shapes can be used to elevate some objects. This allowes for better view of each even with a lot of artifacts on display at the same time. In addition, display case identification kits or numbered display pins can help informing patrons about objects on display.

In high traffic areas or in geographical areas subject to vibrations from traffic, subways, or even earthquakes, Museum Mounting Wax may be recommended to hold objects in place.

Humidity monitoring within the display can be achieved by using Humidity Indicator Cards and various silica gel products can assist in maintaining preferred levels of moisture. Destructive UV lighting is always a concern and UV Fluorescent Light Filters may be required.
