Environmental Monitoring & Security

Museum exhibit with artifact and hydrometer

Careful monitoring of museum collections is required on many levels. Archivists rely on products such as Min/Max Thermo Hygrometer and data loggers to measure relative humidity and temperature "behind the scenes". Curators and conservators responsible for artifacts on display might use humidity indicator cards and Display Case Hygrometer to monitor environmental conditions in display cases, and use Artsorb or Prosorb to maintain proper levels.

Museum and gallery professionals must concern themselves with the possibility of theft, vandalism, and unforeseen disasters. We offer security straps for framed art and security screws to protect objects in display cases. Both archivists and museum workers may worry about natural disasters, like fire and floods, and count on products like Water Alert Moisture Detecting System. We sell a full line of Disaster Preparedness Products.

For protection from harmful UV rays that can discolor and damage light-sensitive objects, we offer UV Filter Film and UV Fluorescent Light Filters.
