Conservation Adhesives

Conservation adhesive on a Japanese brushUniversity Products' and Lineco branded adhesives and tapes are used for archival paper conservation, to adhere and reinforce materials, and attach separated components, mend tears and fill losses. Our White Neutral pH Adhesive is widely used in archives, museum conservation labs, special collections in libraries to construct archival housings for storing fragile artifacts.

In Bookbinding and Book Arts, our acid-free, water reversible yet flexible and clear after drying adhesive is invaluable for building signatures, attaching spines and bookcloth covering material.

For museum and gallery framing, conservation adhesives are use for matting and ATG tapes are indispensable for attaching dust covers. Rice and Wheat starches are perfect for hinging application. Alcohol soluble Klucel G promises adhesion without the deformation. Lineco's new Frame PVA Adhesive is very strong and quick drying, formulated specifically for adhering wood or medium-density fiberboard (MDF) frame moulding.
